You know how we're always saying the county doesn't listen to us? Well, here's the deal: The Nairobi City County Government is actually writing a new rulebook on how they should engage with residents (officially called the Civic Education, Citizen Engagement and Public Participation Policy 2026). And the best part? They are actively asking for our input to build it.
This isn't just another boring government document to ignore. For us as young people, this is a rare chance to literally write the rules on how we want to be heard, how public forums should run, and how the county communicates with us moving forward.
This is our chance to define exactly what "better" looks like.
